We’re gearing up to welcome some of Australia’s most renowned professional golfers back to Thurgoona Country Club Resort as they take to our fairways for one of the most exciting tournaments of the year — the 2025 NSW Senior Open!
There will be plenty happening across the week, including the much-anticipated return of our Sportsman’s Evening, featuring a fantastic lineup of Australian sporting personalities and headline guests — comedian and ventriloquist Darren Carr and former professional golfer and media personality Paul Gow!
This year’s Sportsman’s Evening promises loads of laughs, great stories, and the chance to get up close with some of the biggest names in Australian sport — it’s always one of the highlights of the week and a guaranteed sell-out event.

Sportsman's Night Returns!
We’re thrilled to announce the return of our Sportsman’s Evening at Thurgoona Country Club Resort, launching the highly anticipated 2025 NSW Senior Open Week!
Following the huge success of previous years — with crowd favourites such as Sam Kekovich, Merv Hughes, Robert DiPierdomenico, and Ian “Beefy” Botham — this year’s event is shaping up to be another sell-out.
For 2025, we’re excited to welcome comedian and ventriloquist Darren Carr, one of Australia’s most in-demand corporate entertainers, guaranteed to keep the crowd laughing all night. Joining Darren will be former professional golfer and media personality Paul Gow, who will share insights and stories from his time on tour and behind the microphone.
This year’s evening promises great entertainment, plenty of laughs, and the chance to mingle with sporting personalities — all while celebrating the start of the 2025 NSW Senior Open in true Thurgoona style.
